Visual Arts at CIS

At Candiidus International School, Visual Arts provides students with opportunities to explore, imagine, and create while developing confidence in self-expression. Through drawing, painting, sculpture, design, and mixed-media experiences, learners strengthen observation, creativity, and critical thinking.

The programme encourages every student to discover their artistic voice while appreciating art as a powerful medium for communication, innovation, and cultural understanding.

Grades 1–5

Visual Arts at Elementary School

During the elementary years, students are introduced to the foundations of visual arts through engaging, hands-on learning experiences. They experiment with colours, textures, patterns, and artistic techniques while strengthening fine motor skills, creativity, and confidence in expressing their ideas.

Visual Curriculum for Skill Development

The Elementary Visual Arts curriculum combines creative exploration with structured skill development. Through regular studio sessions and guided projects, students gradually build artistic techniques while enjoying the freedom to experiment and create.

Secondary Visual Arts Programme

As students progress into Middle and High School, Visual Arts becomes more specialised and exploratory. Learners refine their technical abilities, experiment with diverse artistic styles, and develop creative portfolios that reflect originality, confidence, and personal growth.
